A fellow bought a new Mercedes and was out on the interstate for a nice evening
drive. As the needle jumped up to 80 mph he suddenly saw a flashing red and blue light behind
him.

有位仁兄買了新的賓士，晚上開到州際公路享受。碼表指針跳到時速80英里時，他突然發現警車閃著紅藍燈跟在後面。


"There's no way they can catch a Mercedes," he thought to himself and opened her up
further. His needle hit 90, 100, 110. Finally, he pulled over.


他心想：「警車哪追得上賓士？」於是把油門踩得更重，一路飆到時速90、100、110英里。他最後還是把車停了下來。


The cop came up to him and said, "If you can give me an excuse for your driving that I
haven't heard before, you can go!"


警察走上前來告訴他：「如果你想得出我沒聽過的飆車理由，我就讓你走。」


The driver replied,"Last week my wife ran off with a cop, and I was afraid you were
trying to give her back!"


男子回答：「我老婆上星期跟警察跑了，我怕你要把她還給我。」
